WHO WE ARE?
Positive Birthing was established by Rima in the year, 2016. Rima has three children of her own and personal experiences during childbirth and pregnancy that created a devotion for her work in supporting labouring women during Childbirth and Pregnancy health.
With a background and passion for Health Sciences and wellness, she graduated from a Biomedical Sciences Degree in 2004, working in different areas of health sciences until she gave birth to her first child in 2010.
Her curiosity around pregnancy exercise was one of the first areas she explored. After having her second child in 2015, this personal labouring experience along with her first birth made her question todays modern adjustments to the medical world of childbirth!
In 2016 she became a certified Pregnancy Exercise Instructor and Pilates Instructor while going on to explore the area of Childbirth.
In 2019 Rima gave birth to her third child, her birthing experiences continued to create an attachment to study the area of childbirth.
In 2020 she became a Certified Birth Doula also. Being able to empower mothers with knowledge and to labour in a way they felt would be the most memorable and most satisfying experience became a goal that she worked on over the years while establishing Positive Birthing and living her personal experiences.

Pre-practice meals are foods consumed before exercising. Your glycemic index can provide information that may enhance performance allowing you to benefit more!
That being said, consuming a low GI food 30-60 minutes prior to exercise is recommended. SO WHAT does this all mean- longer lasting energy allowing you to perform well during exercise without fatigue and use of fat stores! Win -win!
Some examples of low GI foods- spaghetti, whole wheat bread, wheat kernels, barley, banana, orange, pear, apples, chic peas, lentils, kidney beans, baked beans, apple juice (fresh) green peas, dark chocolate, popcorn, peanuts, oatmeal, rice, All bran cereals…(many more) !!
