Art Basel Paris is back with even stronger numbers and I am excited about visiting the fair in October, who else is going?

The 2026 edition of Art Basel Paris arrives amid renewed momentum for the French art market. According to the Art Basel & UBS Global Art Market Report 2026, sales in France reached USD 4.5 billion in 2025, a 9% year-on-year increase following two years of contraction and a return above 2019 levels. France accounts for 8% of the global art market, ranking as the fourth-largest market worldwide and the largest in the European Union, representing more than half of the EU art market by value.

This Mother’s Day, I want to celebrate what a great Mom I am 👸🏻👶. Maybe I need to say it to myself because my son can’t say it yet and my husband says “you are not my mom” to validate not preparing anything again and giving the acknowledgement to all the things I do for our son, not even this one day out of 365 days.
I believe I am your typical Mom who joggles having a career, thinking what’s for dinner, planning every trip, playing/studying with our kid, taking him to every medical appointment, waking up 1000 times at night because he wants milk or a massage, organizing the place, thinking of gifts for friends and both families -we know the lost goes on and on with lots of invisible labour and so many things that get taken for granted.
So while it does hurt not to be appreciated, I also feel very grounded in knowing that I do SO MUCH for our son and that in fact, I am an awesome mom. Even when I get overwhelmed by all of the 1000 000 things to do, even when I can’t get up because I have not slept (again and and again) - I am still a great mom, with all the flaws and rawness.
My son is teaching me so many things about life and I am happy to be a part of his journey, even if the journey he is on is not for the fainted hearted. I want to believe he chose me for a reason, I choose to think there is a bigger plan for us. And until it all will start making sense, I will be here, for protected him. The perfectly imperfect mom. ❤️
