Congratulations Awake Youth Konnekt on an incredible year of impact and grassroots leadership!
As PaaMoja Initiative , we are proud to partner with such a transformative movement empowering young people to lead change. Greatful for the partnership and continued impact.

We are excited to share a snapshot of Awake Youth Konnect one year impact report! For too long, youth from our informal settlements have been sidelined from the global decisions that shape their future. We launched Awake Youth Konnekt to shatter that barrier—moving from simple "representation" to active, grassroots decision-making.

One Year, One Movement. Our Impact:

✅5 Green Entrepreneurs at the 2025 UN Youth Environment Assembly.
✅50+ Changemakers connected via the Ashoka Baraza Series.
✅30 Leaders leveled up through our Purpose-Driven Masterclasses.

This is a testament to the belief that the most innovative solutions for the SDGs don't come from a boardroom—they come from those living the reality of the struggle.

To our partners Canada-Mathare Education Trust, Ashoka East Africa, Safaricom Hook, Youth Lite, PaaMoja Initiative, and Cogwheel Experience Studios thank you for investing in the radical idea that grassroots youth belong in the halls of power.

We’ve spent a year bridging the gap. Now, we’re ready to dismantle it. Read through our impact report below to see the journey. ➡️

Today, as we mark World Menstrual Hygiene Day, we celebrate the importance of good menstrual hygiene management in ensuring every girl can live with confidence, dignity, and good health.

Through impactful engagements with Canada-Mathare Education Trust scholars recently at the holiday program, PaaMoja Initiative created safe spaces to break stigma, promote awareness, and empower girls with the knowledge and confidence to manage their menstrual health with dignity. Together, we continue advocating for a future where no girl is limited by menstruation.
