Today in the evening hours we were called out on emergency to rescue a donkey which has been dumped on the side of the road with serious injuries on the front limbs,we took him in and called our Vet who is Dr Mulozi who is now treating the donkey.

We are appealing for an emergency help to treat this precious soul.

Dear Helper,

We rescued hungry, sickly and badly injured donkeys who were tied on tree's with iron wires on the necks, legs and their nose pierced and ears cut into half and abandoned in the bush for several days to die of hunger, bleeding and cold by their owner's after who have misused and abused in the farms to pull heavy unprotected carts and getting badly injured.

We truly thank God there are alive today, Dr. Mulozi is treating them but we are still shocked by their situation there are in, the are badly off.

We want to share this time and moment with you all and appreciate you for being a great helper and a friend of our life calling and sacrificial work of saving and taking care of donkeys indeed if were not for you we wont be here this far. THANK YOU

Last month we experienced several emergencies as usual of donkey rescue from mistreatment and abandonment but most crucial one was for Old Daisy which our founder really cherishes and loves she was rushed to Vet severally but she is ok now but very weak under vets watch, we have continued to receive several donkeys (10)which always becomes a strain in our budget because of medical, rehabilitation and feeds expenses before the donkeys regain their health and social life.

Last month our founder was hospitalized after he got an injury during donkey rescue few months ago which seemed small but it came back with an infection which he had to go for a surgery he now out danger and now at home recuperating we wish him well ,it will take sometime before he resumes this tough role of coordination and rescue of donkeys, he is still in touch and updated on all sanctuary activities and today when i met him at home he requested me to ask you kindly to continue giving more lovingly and sacrificially as he will not be able move around meeting people to help the sanctuary at least for this month of August.
