Inhabited since the Bronze Age, it’s known for the ruins of the walled Greco-Roman settlement of Gerasa just outside the modern city.

This is the view from my lobby, too bad I couldn’t go down on the beach to get a better angle as I was stuck with a tracker on my wrist over Christmas and New Years 🥲 (due to Covid) Happy New Years guys ! Hope you all have a great year ahead of you!!! Wish you all the best !

Macaques have recently been re-classified from vulnerable to endangered status because roughly three hundred a year are being taken from the wild to be sold as pets. Also, the natural habitat of the macaque is under threat from logging (cutting down trees) and farmers see them as a pest and try to get rid of them.
