Happy International Women's Day!

"SHUT UP! YOUR MOUTH IS BIG AND UGLY!"

🙏When I was younger, my voice was constantly attacked. I was told children should be seen and not heard.

🏹I was even told by certain family members that my mouth was big and ugly like a certain parent and that I should go and look for a man instead of seeking higher education after high school.

🤣I can laugh now because I now know that that was the enemy trying to shut me down. However, as a child, it hurt very much at that time and the spirit of rejection and insecurity became two of my best friends.

Furthermore, we were affected by poverty in a community where progress was limited. Some may have said, "Can anything good come out of Steer Town?"

Guess what? The answer is YES and I have a lot to say! All that was meant to break me helped me to be the woman I am today and I am still learning and growing by God's grace.

Facebook reminded me of this post which was made 3 years ago...This reminder will always be relevant especially in these times.

We cannot be casual Christians! Test every spirit by the word of God! Stop following people because they are popular and prophesy what you want to hear. First of all, you are your first prophet! Use the word of God and prophesy over yourself!

The itchy ear mentality has to stop or else we will be casualties to the plots and schemes of the enemy. Warriors of God, gird up your loins and get into the Word of God, your life and that of your generation depends on it in this evil age.

2 Timothy 4: 1-5
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
