Our motto is: "Together we strive for excellence" It was the year 1990 when Mrs. The school remains that size for another year.
Leoni Golding founder and still principal of the Pineapple Basic School decided to quit her job as a teacher at Ewers Basic School to pursue a career in nursing. This never materializes because the parents of the children she was teaching would not allow her to leave the profession, Hence the start of the Pineapple Basic School. When entering the school compound, parents/guardian should be attired as responsible adults. This means that:
Merinos alone instead of shirts or under pant alone is forbidden for our male parents.
Women must be appropriately dressed. Revealing & tight fitting clothes are not accepted.
Grooming for Students
Uniforms should be worn at all times.
Boys
▪ Khaki shirt neatly tucked into khaki pants or Khaki
shorts.
▪ Earrings and plaited hair are not allowed.
Girls
▪ 3yr old – 4yr old White blouse with red & white
plaid tunic.
▪ 5yr old white blouse with red & white plaid skirt.
General
▪ Jewelry is not accepted.
▪ House T-shirts and shorts are to be worn on
Thursdays. Except for the girls whose religion
disallowed them to wear shorts, red & white plaid P.E
skirts can be worn.
School Fees
All school fees should be paid in full before acceptance of any child. If at any time a parent find paying school fee as a challenge there is a payment plan available. Contact the school office for further information. A two weeks period is given to all parent/guardian for full
payment of school fee. No school fee should be paid at the school. Late payment for school fee will now attract an additional 10% charge.
Safety & Security
All parents/guardian must submit their names and a valid contact number to the school. If the number given is no more valid then the new number must be
submitted. Please monitor students’ pick up after school. Kindly send a note if they must leave before dismissal.
Respect for Teachers & other Staff Members
No parent/guardian having an issue with a teacher or a staff member should enter school compound and be disrespectful, rude or insolence. Any conflict should be directed to the schools’ office or management Board.
School Rules
Absence from School
Students who have been absent from school, on
return should present a note from parent/guardian
explaining his/her absence. A phone call is also expected. If sick a doctor letter should be present.
Absence from Class
Students should remain in classes during class periods. In the case of an emergency a release form must be signed and given.
Visitors
Any person, parent/guardian desirous of seeing a student should first request permission from the schools 'office and/or the class teacher.
P.T.A meetings
All parents/guardian must try to attend all P.T.A
meetings if possible. A $300.00 dues per term must be paid towards P.T.A administration.
Punctuality/Arrival/Departure
Children must be punctual for school daily at 8:30am. Children must be picked up promptly, no later than 3:00pm. A late fee charge is in effect for students who are not picked up on time.
