We’ve come to the end of the second term of the school year — a meaningful point to pause, reflect, and gently look ahead.

It is often felt that two terms is enough time to see clear progress. However, depending on a child’s individual needs and learning barriers, meaningful change can take longer — and that’s okay. Every journey unfolds at its own pace.

This is a time to celebrate the small wins, recognise progress (no matter how subtle), and begin shaping the goals that will guide the next steps.

As we approach the Summer Term — the shortest term of the year — it’s not necessarily the most impactful in isolation, but it is often when you begin to see the results of consistent, evidence-based practices. This is when students grow in fluency, confidence, and independence.

It’s a delicate balance:
✨ Being present and embracing each day
✨ While thoughtfully preparing for the academic year ahead (2026/2027)

At iCann HELP, we understand that growth is not rushed — it’s supported, nurtured, and built over time. We’re here for the full journey, every step of the way.

We currently have spaces available, with rolling enrolment throughout the year. Sometimes, the best time to start… is now.

If you’re considering support for your child, we welcome you to get in touch to arrange trial days for September or even the upcoming term.

April is Autism Awareness Month 💛
This year, three powerful themes stand out:
✨ It’s how you show up
✨ Celebrating differences
✨ Every life has value
These aren’t separate ideas—they are deeply connected. When we truly celebrate differences, we begin to understand that every life has value. And when we believe that, we naturally show up—with kindness, patience, and acceptance.
Autism awareness has grown so much over the years. Now, it’s time to go a step further.
It’s time to show up.
As a community, we can turn awareness into action. This month, we invite you to take one small action each day—because meaningful change is built in everyday moments.
Here are simple ways to show up:
💙 Be patient if someone needs extra time to communicate—whether that’s processing their order or using an AAC device
💚 Choose understanding over judgment if a child is overwhelmed in a public space
💛 Offer inclusion—invite a child to a birthday party or playdate
🧡 Give support, not unsolicited advice
💜 Respect dignity—sometimes showing up means looking away instead of staring
❤️ Lead with kindness, even in the smallest interactions
Showing up doesn’t require grand gestures. It’s in the quiet, thoughtful choices we make every day.
Let’s build a community where differences are celebrated, every life is valued, and everyone feels they belong—not just this month, but always.
Because showing up matters. 💙

Starting the week off on a strong note, with strong opinions 💪🏽 we did just celebrate heroes day after all.

Being non speaking does not determine your cognitive ability. AAC accommodations should be in the classroom!

Take the poll listed in our stories.
Should we have another movie night showcasing the journey of a young woman who is non speaking?
