The Formula SAE Italy & Formula Electric Italy is the official SAE Italian event organized by ANFIA
The Formula SAE Italy & Formula Electric Italy is the official SAE Italian event organized by ATA since 2005. It is a student design competition which involves University teams of all over the world. The concept behind Formula SAE is that a fictional manufacturing company has contracted a design team to develop a small Formula-style race car. The prototype race car is to be evaluated for its potential as a production item. The target marketing group for the race car is the non-professional weekend autocross racer. Each student team designs, builds and tests a prototype based on a series of rules whose purpose is both to ensure onsite event operations and promote clever problem solving. Formula SAE promotes careers and excellence in engineering as it encompasses all aspects of the automotive industry including research, design, manufacturing, testing, developing, marketing, management and finances. Formula SAE takes students out of the classroom and allows them to apply textbook theories to real work experiences. The classes of competitions are 3: Class 1C for combustion cars, Class 1E for full electric cars and Class 3 for teams attending with the project only. From 2017 edition on, Formula SAE Italy & Formula Electric Italy are organized by ATA witihin the framework of ANFIA-Italian Association of the Automotive Industry

In the Hall 21, next to the ANFIA stand, you’ll find the Formula SAE Italy area, where Firenze Race Team , MoRe Modena Racing and UniPr Racing Team are ready to showcase their projects and share their experience.
It’s a great opportunity to discover how engineering skills, technology and innovation come together at university and make their way to the racetrack. 🔧⚡

🎬 THAT'S A WRAP ON 🏁
The final day at Autodromo Varano delivered the intensity we were all waiting for: the Endurance Event pushed cars and teams to their absolute limit, the Trackdrive closed the dynamic events in style, and the Closing Ceremony celebrated the protagonists of this edition. 🏆⚡
A full week of engineering, teamwork and pure motorsport passion comes to an end. Behind every result there are months of design, sleepless nights and the dedication of hundreds of future engineers who turned an idea into a car on track. 🛠️
Thank you to every team, every student, every partner who made it possible. See you next year! 🇮🇹
We always say "stay hydrated" during hot days of Formula SAE Italy, but this challenge between teams is over the top!

🏁 DAY 5 📸
The longest test of the competition closed the week. Endurance for the combined class on the Track Area, Autocross and Trackdrive for the driverless cars at the Skidpad, and a parc fermé that told the story of five intense days better than any classification could.

We tried to ask something wrong to team members, to confuse them at Formula SAE Italy 2026, but they are too strong to fall in this trap!
