‼️Mechanical failure!
👀 Can you spot what went wrong?
This photo from a year ago popped up in my Facebook Memories. It was the first mechanical failure I experienced with this go-kart, and my kart had to be towed back to the mechanic’s shop.
Passing and defending!
🏁This video shows the first lap of yesterday’s go-kart race! I believe this was my 4th (or maybe 5th) race in the Margay Ignite Masters class since I started racing last year.
💪Knowing I was one of the slower drivers in a group full of talented racers, I did my best to gain a position in Turn 1 (00:04) and then defend against the two karts behind me (00:50) as hard as I could. I was very happy to hold my position for more than a lap!
🏎️The kart that started at the back of the field started there because he did not participate in qualifying or the pre-final session. He (the red kart on my right at 00:50) is always one of the quickest drivers in the group — if not the quickest!
