Tom
Tom’s diary I'm Tom (née Adurra Bull Serumaninho). Born on April 28, 2016. I live with graphic artist Antonio Rodrigues Jr. His motto is: life's for sharing.
who, in Exchange for free food, not only takes pictures of me nearly all the time, but also likes to share them all.
I Have been hacked again.
______
Update: You know the saying: Once bitten, twice shy
I lost access to all my accounts (Facebook, Threads, and Instagram), and since I have been hacked before, the memory of that experience was stronger than anything else, even though I could not recall any suspicious activity that might have caused it.
Only later did I realise it was actually a global outage.
I hope it did not affect too many of you.
That moment you remember 😌
___________
I think one of the things we’re definitely going to get back to is our photo sessions.
PLEASE NOTE: Tom is completely recovered now. This is from before surgery 🤗
I can't believe this is how he looked just a few weeks before his tumour was removed.
It didn't happen overnight. The change was slow and gradual, and at first we assumed it was yet another allergic reaction. After all, we had just moved to a new city, a new house, and a completely new environment. Several tests came back clear, so we simply kept managing the symptoms as best we could.
It was only in March, if I remember correctly, that we finally learned the cause: a tiny tumour in his left testicle. It was later diagnosed as benign, but even so, it was disrupting both his hormonal and immune systems.
What amazes me is that even when he looked this unwell, he was still as energetic and spirited as ever.
It took about three months after the surgery for him to fully return to his old self.
Thank you all for being part of his journey.
That moment you share your rituals 😌

This one goes out to everyone who has DMed us asking how I manage to shower Tom when we’re away from home.
Because of his allergies and skin condition, Tom normally follows a very strict cleaning routine. When we’re travelling, however, I often just wash his paws and wipe away pollen and other allergens with a damp towel.
This trip was a little different.
We were staying by the coast, and Tom went swimming every single day. As much as he loves it, all that salt needs to be washed off, so a full bath became necessary.
The routine is actually quite simple. I use a neutral soap, rinse, and then I remove the excess water with a grooming brush, towel dry him, and finish with a blow dryer.
The whole process takes about six minutes.
After that, a little antifungal cream, and he’s done.
Worth it.

That moment you become the calm inside the storm.
______________
This is our last quiet weekend before everything comes down: packing, sorting, giving things away, throwing things out, paperwork, admin, and the chaos that always follows.
We’ve been through this many times. We know the pattern well.
But for the past ten years, I’ve had my guardian by my side, reminding me every single time that, in the end, everything will be alright.
Wishing you all a beautiful weekend.
