Quando abbiamo iniziato, avevamo solo una casa e un’idea di ospitalità fatta di cura, dettagli e amore vero per gli spazi. Oggi, quell’idea è diventata un piccolo universo, ed è arrivato il momento di presentartelo tutto, profilo per profilo.

🏰Upcoming events in FERRARA:

We're starting strong: from August 26 to 30, the city fills up with music and street performers for the Ferrara Buskers Festival, one of the biggest street music festivals in Europe. Then on September 1st, it's time for vintage lovers with the Antiques Market, among stalls and hidden treasures in the historic center.

On September 6, the museums open their doors, and it's worth taking advantage, while the weekend of September 5 and 6 is all about the Vegan Festival, with flavors, sustainability, and a clear conscience (even at the table).

Friday, September 12, Piazza del Municipio turns into an open-air wine cellar with Tramonto DiVino, over 400 Emilian wines selected by the Emilia Romagna da Bere e da Mangiare guide, from 7 to 11 pm. Glass in hand, sunset in view, what more could you want?

From September 19, art lovers have one more reason to visit, the exhibition From Monet to Van Gogh to Kandinsky arrives, a journey through the great masters that feels truly unmissable.

The weekend of September 13 and 14, Piazza Ariostea turns green with Giardini Estensi, the autumn edition dedicated to plant nurseries and high-end craftsmanship, free entry. And also on Saturday the 13th, in Piazza Trento e Trieste, the Festival delle Imprese e delle Idee organized by CNA brings workshops and craft demonstrations to discover how a small business is born today.

Between September 18 and 27, kids (and grown-ups who never stopped believing) get lost in the streets of Ferrara in Fiaba. And to close things out in style, on the weekends from September 26 to October 11, the historic Eel Festival celebrates the fish that's a symbol of the city of the Trepponti.

September in Florence: when the city sheds the summer heat and starts whispering in your ear again 🌇🍇

There's a month when Florence stops sweating under the August sun and finally gets to show its best side. The light turns golden an hour before sunset, the riverside streets empty out from the hit-and-run tourism, and the air, finally, smells like harvest season.

That's what September in Florence is, the city breathing again. You can finally lose yourself in the alleys of Oltrarno without a thousand phones raised over your shoulder, sit at a table in Santo Spirito in the evening and still feel the warmth on your skin but no longer weighed down by it, grab an aperitivo while watching Ponte Vecchio light up little by little.

Summer Vanillas, the things we love and never miss out on ☀️

Ferragosto is kind of the second-to-last buoy of summer. That point where you look back at the road you’ve traveled and think, “okay, we’ve got a story worth telling.”

So here we are, gathering the pieces of our summer into one carousel, because between one commitment and another, we didn’t let a single one slip by.

Last-minute beach dinners that always come together at the last second and somehow always turn out to be the best ones. Our kids growing up together, one summer at a time, melting our hearts every single time. HYROX done together, because working out is our outlet, and yes, we do love making our lives complicated. Long walks like true locals, discovering the spots we then recommend to our guests with all our heart. Weddings styled down to the last detail, our creative moments that never stop. The Lavoropiù Challenger Cup, organized with everything we’ve got. And opening up the beach houses, which brings a whole load of chores, hustle, races against the clock, but also a ton of laughs.

Basically, our summer is a mix of hard work and lightness, exactly the way we like it.

Confessione: in Sardegna abbiamo mangiato così bene che a un certo punto abbiamo smesso di fare foto al panorama e abbiamo iniziato a fare foto ai piatti. Non ce ne vergogniamo. 🍤📸
Perché diciamocelo, tra un tuffo e l'altro, la vera domanda esistenziale delle vacanze non è "cosa vedo oggi" ma "dove ceno stasera".
E allora abbiamo fatto quello che i bravi host dovrebbero sempre fare: segnarci i posti giusti, quelli veri, quelli dove il piccione al tartufo ti fa cambiare idea sulla vita o dove il carrello dei dolci ti fa capire che sì, un altro tiramisù ci sta.

Tutti a un massimo di un'oretta da S'ARD Surfhouse, perché la buona tavola non deve essere un'impresa, deve essere una scusa in più per restare.

Confession: in Sardinia we ate so well that at some point we stopped taking pictures of the view and started taking pictures of the plates instead. We're not ashamed. 🍤📸
Because let's be real, between one swim and the next, the true existential question of vacation isn't "what should I see today" but "where am I having dinner tonight."
So we did what good hosts should always do: we kept a list of the real spots, the good ones, the ones where the truffle pigeon makes you rethink your entire life or where the dessert cart convinces you that yes, one more tiramisu is totally fine.

All within about an hour from S'ARD Surfhouse, because good food shouldn't be a mission, it should just be one more reason to stay.
