Punishments can lead to increased aggression, antisocial behavior, physical injury and mental health problems for children.
All kids break the rules and test limits sometimes. When adults respond in a helpful manner kids learn to make better choices in the future.
Punishments often cause children to feel bad about who they are—as opposed to what they did. Children who experience self-worth issues become more likely to misbehave in the future.

It’s no secret that words have a significant impact on all human beings, but to our children, words of encouragement and praise can NOT ONLY lead to achieving milestones and creating self-value BUT ALSO help in creating good habits and good behaviors.
A compliment, a gesture, a facial expression, a simple hug, or a high-five can generate self-worth and pride in children.
Praising need not be necessarily for every single thing.
But when you see your child doing something you told them to do, PRAISE A LITTLE LOUDER AND WITH HAPPINESS.
This could be for anything l, be it keeping their toys in place or cleaning their room.
Playing nicely with other kids in the park or sharing their toys.
Helping you with your house chores or doing their homework on time or maybe going to bed on time.
When you praise instances they can turn into healthy and lifelong good behaviors and habits.
Don't always praise them when they follow your instructions BUT ALSO WHEN THEY DO THOSE THINGS EVEN WITHOUT YOUR SAYING.
