BJP-NC Protests Nothing but Political Drama: Ayaz Darwi
Government Must Address Genuine Public Issues; NC Should Explain Its Performance
Srinagar, September 3: Ayaz Darwi, State General Secretary, has strongly criticised the ongoing political protests involving the BJP and National Conference, terming them nothing more than “political drama” and an attempt to divert public attention from the real issues confronting the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
Darwi said that the people are not interested in political theatrics or blame games but want concrete action on issues such as unemployment, inflation, healthcare, education, roads, electricity, drinking water and other basic public services.
He questioned the performance of the National Conference government and said that those in power must be judged by their delivery and results, not merely by political statements and promises.
“The people of Jammu & Kashmir need solutions, accountability and development—not political drama. If political parties genuinely care about the public, they should come forward with a clear account of what they have delivered and what remains pending,” Darwi said.
Darwi urged the government to concentrate on strengthening public services, creating employment opportunities and addressing the day-to-day difficulties faced by ordinary citizens.
He also called upon the opposition parties to adopt a constructive and issue-based approach instead of engaging in political confrontations that, according to him, provide little relief to the common people.
Darwi maintained that the interests of the people must remain above party politics and appealed to all political stakeholders to work collectively for peace, development, employment and better governance in Jammu & Kashmir.
