A historical note: in 1928, the bridge was indeed in the undivided British Indian province of Punjab. Today, the bridge is located in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, as the Kangra Valley Railway now runs from Pathankot (Punjab) to Joginder Nagar (Himachal Pradesh).
