What better way to understand Bihar than by listening to the people who call it home?
On 21 September, Samastipur became a stop on the Bihar Parichay Yatra 2026, bringing 15 curious yatris to Innovators In Health as one of the host organisations. The visit was a day of conversations, questions, and shared learning. The yatris spent time with our team, joined a community meeting, and interacted with community members to understand how we work alongside people to bring healthcare closer to where they live. Beyond presentations and stories, the visit offered a glimpse into the people, partnerships, and everyday efforts that shape community health.
We appreciate the Bihar Parichay Yatra Team and Bihar Development Collective for creating this meaningful space to connect, learn, and discover Bihar through its people and grassroots efforts.

Right medication. Right time. Right dose. With complex regimens in Drug-Resistant TB (DR-TB) care, patient education and adherence can make all the difference between treatment success and failure. To bridge the gap, we at Innovators In Health go the extra mile: conducting routine home visits to counsel PwDRTB and support their treatment journey right where they live. Together, we can build a TB-free future!

Good healthcare grows through listening, learning, and sharing across contexts. On 4–5 September, we welcomed Dr. Brinda Priyadarshini C, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Medicine, Government Sivagangai Medical College, Tamil Nadu, and former Nodal Officer(TB). Her experience in Tamil Nadu’s health system and TB programme brought fresh perspectives to our work. She spent time with our team, exchanging experiences and engaging in thoughtful conversations around TB care, NCD integration, stigma, and care-seeking.
From our field sites to the DR-TB laboratory in Darbhanga, the visit opened up new questions and perspectives on how we can keep learning, improving, and raising the bar for quality care.

A little time to pause, reconnect, and recharge!
From 21–23 August, our team took a break from the usual field routines for a refreshing visit to Rajgir, creating space for laughter, conversations, and memories together.
These moments of togetherness remind us that caring for communities also begins with caring for the people who make the work possible.
Here’s to stronger teams, renewed energy, and many more journeys together!

Two days to pause. Reflect. Reimagine.
On 16–17 August, the IIH team came together in Darjeeling for a two-day visioning workshop, an opportunity to step back from our day-to-day work, reflect on how far we have come, and think about where we want to go next.
As we look towards the next decade of IIH, the conversations centred on our purpose, our communities, and how we can continue to grow our impact while staying rooted in what matters most. A heartfelt thank you to our facilitators, Shravan Jha and Surya Prakash Rai, for guiding the conversations and helping us look ahead with fresh perspectives.
Here’s to new ideas, shared learning, and shaping the next chapter of IIH together.

Freedom means having the opportunity to live with dignity and health is an essential part of that freedom.
At IIH, we believe that care should not end when a patient receives a diagnosis. It is about standing alongside people throughout their care journey. Working with communities, connecting patients to the public health system, supporting adherence, addressing nutrition and mental health needs, and ensuring that no one has to navigate illness alone.
This Independence Day, we also celebrate the communities who inspire us to keep walking alongside them, every step of the way.
Happy Independence Day 🇮🇳

Innovators In Health participated in the Global Implementation Workshop on Near Point-of-Care (NPOC) TB Diagnostics hosted by Stop TB Partnership and The Global Fund. The workshop was held in Bangkok from 6–10 July. As an early adopter of Huwel's UniAMP,a next-generation, ultraportable, palm-top solution for rapid molecular TB testing through the TB REACH Wave 11 Plus initiative, we shared our early implementation experience and operational learnings from deploying NPOC TB diagnostics in the communities we serve.
The workshops brought together National TB Programme managers, TB REACH implementers, Global Fund early adopter countries, researchers, and implementation partners to exchange lessons on procurement, laboratory systems, quality assurance, health worker training, and the translation of WHO guidance into practice.
These conversations reinforce the value of collaboration and shared learning in advancing equitable access to timely, high-quality TB diagnosis worldwide.
