This year’s journey at Formula Bharat came with its share of challenges and lessons. The team faced setbacks in clearing technical inspections, preventing us from competing on track.
We placed 7th overall in the Electric category and secured 2nd place in the Engineering Design Event.

Among our notable achievements, we secured a P3 finish in the MathWorks SkidPad Challenge and emerged as winners of the Altair Simulation Challenge.

Formula 1 is the pinnacle of Motorsports and Engineering. Formula Student is the step in that direction for building engineers like us. It's the most prominent student engineering competition globally, with companies like Mercedes AMG, Audi, Tesla, Siemens, Red bull motorsports, Porsche, Bugatti linked with teams globally. And, in recent years, Electric Vehicles have unquestionably emerged as the future of green mobility.

While we were lucky to have great support from our alumni, who helped us laying the foundation for our entry in the EV category, a special mention goes out to Decibels Lab.

The knowledge we gained and skills we developed through the courses that we did with Decibels were instrumental in designing an electric vehicle from scratch in 3 months. The instructors give individual attention to every student's progress, and this was very useful in strengthening the software knowledge that we were able to put forth at the event.

We are glad to announce that in this year's FSEV Concept Challenge, we are ranked 4th overall among 37 teams from India, Indonesia and USA. We managed to secure the third spot in the design presentation event, as well as the Q&A session, and were also among the notable mentions for Fresher Team Effort in EV Design.

Owing to the pandemic situation, making the mental switch from working on a practical combustion model to designing an electric vehicle was important, but the team's philosophy of working together towards one goal helped us in this transition.

Apart from the technical design, we also had to present our procurement strategy and team management structure at the event, and the valuable feedback from the judges at Formula Bharat will help us greatly. A big thank you to for organising this event, even under such difficult circumstances. It really helped us lay a solid foundation of the electric vehicle in our team, and we are now looking forward to bringing this design to life.

They say that the only way you can succeed is by rising every time you fall. And success can only be achieved by converting disappointments into opportunities.

Earlier this year, owing to the pandemic situation, our dream of representing the team at an international platform was cut short. But the team took this setback as an opportunity to step onto the Electric Vehicle stage, and participate in FSEV Concept Challenge 2020.

Participating in this challenge meant that we had to complete the design phase of building an electric vehicle in just three months from scratch. But sticking to our motto to , the team got down to working day in and day out, and managed to complete the design.

This summer, which could've been our first international participation, ended up becoming a foundation for EV, and now, the only way we know is up!!
