The Guiding principle here should be to Create Intimacy ! Have a look at the space created beneath. It's fairly easy and reasonable to construct an area such as this. Don't be afraid to bring in your favorites to one spot. Some of Montage's favorites in the picture below - a Suspended Antique Lustre, a glass Jug filled with fresh peach Peonies, a Cluster of lit Candles (more the better), and of course our cushy-cushions thrown beautifully on the settee, in pastel, blending in with your backdrop !
Would you ever wanna get out of this space? (I don't think so!)

Monday Myth:
So we keep hearing Dark colors + small spaces is a no no.
But, guys look at this, a Yes or what !
Not only do dark colors fabricate a Rich Backdrop for wall art, open bookcases, and beautiful bright embellishments, but also have a Strong potential to pack a design Punch and create a Dramatic effect in well-lit rooms.
