Jan-Man-Swasthya Programme

n Community Health (FRCH) in Pune, Parivartan in Satara, Ashadeep in Guwahati, Action North East Trust (ANT) in Chirang District, Assam, Ram Krishna Mission (RKM) in Varanasi and Jan Chetna Manch (JCM) in Bokaro, Jharkhand. Each site brings with it its unique strengths and challenges. The programme is funded by the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust (SDTT). Through this programme we hope to develop a blueprint of how collaborative community based mental health services could be set up in diverse populations in India. We hope that these models could be scaled up to the wider Indian context backed by good evidence. The programme focusses on a range of mental health problems such as depression, anxiety, epilepsy, psychosis, alcohol related disorders and aims for developing models for suicide prevention in the community.
