Domino's Pizza Enterprises Limited, a Domino's franchise holder with brands in Australia and Europe created a predictive ordering solution to help stores anticipate what pizza their customers would order.

Domino's uses Amazon SageMaker to build and train machine learning models; to predict the likelihood that an order will be placed so a store can begin making that order right before it is placed.

It comes under Project 3TEN.
This capability is a part of a broader initiative to reduce pickup and delivery times.

Pizzas can be ready for pickup in as little as 5 minutes or delivered within 10 minutes.

The Federated Learning approach eliminates the need to centralize the training data and allows ML models to be trained using data residing on mobile devices.

Several mobile devices can download the ML model to be used for the project. Only the model updates and not the entire training data is sent to the cloud.

At the central device or the data center, updates received in an encrypted form from all the users are aggregated for improving the shared model. The updated version of the model is then sent back to the participating devices from the centralized server.

There's a new Harry Potter chapter that was written using a predictive keyboard trained on the Harry Potter series.

The team over at Botnik Studios used algorithmically constructed sentences to write a new chapter in the Harry Potter saga and the results, including the name of the new book, are equally insane and hilarious.

The topic we choose, our tone, our selection of words, everything adds some type of information that can be interpreted, and value extracted from it.

But there is a problem: one person may generate hundreds or thousands of words in a declaration, each sentence with its corresponding complexity.

It is a commonly used model that allows you to count all words in a piece of text.

Basically, it creates an occurrence matrix for the sentence or document, disregarding grammar, and word order. These word frequencies or occurrences are then used as features for training a classifier.
