The first Mental Health Day was celebrated on 10th Oct 1992 as an initiative by WFMH, World Federation for Mental Health. The day is celebrated to mark the need for awareness and treatment of mental health illness. The major challenge faced by a person suffering is THE STIGMA, followed by lack of acceptance and understanding.
Since 1994, every year the day is celebrated with a theme. This year the theme is- Making Mental Health and Well Being for all a Global Priority.
To promote and support the theme for the year, we Team Life Is Beautiful (LIB) are coming with Sharing Circle- Support Squad.
What is a Support Squad?? (Support Group)
A group of people with common experiences and concerns who provide each other encouragement- comfort, help each other by listening and sharing mere words of Empathy and Empowerment.
We will be holding LIVE MEET for small groups. Every group will have a different outlook. Everyone as a part of the group will stand a chance to discuss and share their thoughts with the group freely.
We will be a group of members who are Non-biased - Non-judgmental listeners, Not professional Counselors, Nor Therapist to assess or diagnose your issues. Just supporting each other by Empathizing and Encouraging by listening and sharing one’s experience - story.
So, are you ready and willing to share your experiences/ story??
