It is actually 25 years. Never mind 😄. It is a beautiful article written about our founder Kalki Subramaniam's work for the transgender community of India in the last two decades. People of Purpose: Kalki Subramaniam’s Sahodari Foundation Drives Trans Rights Through Art and Activism - The Logical Indian Kalki Subramaniam, founder of Sahodari Foundation, has spent over 16 years using art, literature, livelihood projects, and courtroom advocacy to build a life of dignity for India's transgender community, one story at a time.

We at Sahodari Foundation (www.sahodari.org) are proud to announce that we have signed an MoU with Amazon India to uplift our less privileged transgender women and rural women through their Saheli and Karigar programs which will enable small businesses and cottage industries run by them to thrive through Amazon India platform.

In line with that, yesterday we had an introductory training program about Saheli and Karigar for our women in which Amazon's Account Manager of Saheli and Karigar programs Ms.Sarita Tiwari clearly and warmly explained the benefits of joining these programs for small businesses run by rural and transgender women. Our trustee Mrs.S Umamaheswari did the introductory and closing inspiring remarks. My sincere thanks to Amazon India and Ms.Sarita for this immensely inspiring wonderful association and collaboration with Sahodari Foundation.

Together, we will uplift those rural and trans women entrepreneurs who are talented, and who deserve visibility, recognition and need to get many steps ahead.
