A rare two-headed wolf snake has been found in Dahod, in what is being described as the first reported case of its kind in Gujarat and only the fifth in India.

The condition, known as bicephaly, is a rare developmental abnormality in which a snake develops two heads. Both heads have separate brains and nervous systems, making movement and feeding challenging.

Experts say competition between the two heads can make survival difficult in the wild. The non-venomous wolf snake is harmless to humans and plays an important role in the ecosystem by feeding on lizards and other small creatures.

A day after being detained during the Opposition’s protest in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi was seen offering water bottles to police personnel who had detained him.
