Spent a nice day in Hakone by taking the classic scenic loop: ride the Tozan train to Gora, switch to the cable car and ropeway for views of Owakudani’s volcanic vents, and cruise across Lake Ashi on a pirate ship.

13 Years of Standing Up for Every Child. 💛

Today, we celebrate 13 years of CACR – Children Association for Child Rights.

For the past thirteen years, our journey has been guided by one belief—that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, participate, and thrive in a safe and supportive environment.

Every community we have worked with, every young person who has inspired us, every partner who has walked alongside us, and every team member who has contributed their time and passion has been a part of this journey.

As we step into our 14th year, we remain committed to listening, learning, and working together to ensure that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Thank you for being a part of our story.

Here's to 13 years of purpose, partnership, and possibilities. ✨

Periods became “taboo” the moment conversations became exclusive. 🩸

Dr. K. T Nandu shares why involving boys, fathers & men in menstrual health conversations isn’t “extra effort” — it’s the actual change we need. 👀

Because the more we talk together, the less stigma survives. ❤️‍🩹

Why are we still whispering about something that happens to half the world? 🩸

Day 2 of was not just about awareness sessions or activities—it was about changing the way people think, speak and respond to menstruation. ❤️‍🩹

From honest conversations with sanitation workers at Ville Parle to powerful public interactions at , we saw people pause, listen, question old beliefs and openly talk about periods without shame. 👀✨

Men joined the conversation. Women shared their experiences. Strangers stopped to participate. And for a moment, menstruation became what it truly is—normal. 🌸

Because periods are natural.
Silence, Stigma & Shame should not be.

Yes, you read that right. Children from our partner BMC schools recently met Sir , UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, and the moment was bigger than a celebrity interaction. It was a leadership moment led by children, owned by children, and spoken by children.

For over 10 years, CACR has worked alongside Municipal Corporation Of Greater Mumbai (Mcgm) schools not to substitute public services, but to strengthen them, ensuring systems work better for children rather than parallel to them.

Our approach has always been simple: empower the ecosystem so every child can build the future they deserve.

On 27th November in Mumbai, at a special program attended by an
UNICEF team and Sir David, our young health and environment ambassadors stood confidently and shared their experiences.

They presented their work, their challenges, and their solutions with clarity, confidence, and pride.

We witnessed what real leadership looks like when it begins early, when courage is nurtured, and when young people are trusted to represent themselves. Their voices reflected ownership of their future, not because we taught them what to say, but because we gave them space to believe that their future already belongs to them.

This moment was an important milestone for us because transformation was measured not by our words, but theirs. Leadership is never just about speaking, it is about being heard, and these children ensured both.

When young leaders rise, communities change. When systems invest in them, nations grow. And when the world listens, the future becomes wiser, stronger, and kinder.
