Third GBM of IIA UP chapter at Lucknow.

The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) is glad to announce a new center in Kanpur which will be a great development for the architectural community in the UP chapter.
The installation ceremony of centre with Ar. Praveen Kumar Mishra as chairman will be a momentous occasion for all architectural community.

आज 1090 चौराहे पर IIA यूपी चैप्टर और IIID लखनऊ क्षेत्रीय चैप्टर ने कोलकाता के आभ्या केस के लिए त्वरित न्याय की मांग को लेकर विरोध प्रदर्शन किया। लखनऊ के कई प्रसिद्ध आर्किटेक्ट्स जैसे कि डॉ. केके अस्थाना, डॉ अरुण कपूर, आर्क संदीप सरस्वत (आईआईए यूपी चैप्टर के अध्यक्ष), आर्क प्रसेनजित सान्याल (आईआईआईडी लखनऊ क्षेत्रीय चैप्टर के अध्यक्ष), आर्क सौरभ सक्सेना, आर्क पारुल सक्सेना, आर्क फौजान खान, आर्क संदीप नेगी, आर्क राजीव कक्कर, आर्क केशव कुमार, आर्क रंजू श्रीवास्तव, आर्क दीप्ति सागर, आर्क ताबिश अब्दुल्ला, आर्क अनुराग और कई अन्य ने विरोध प्रदर्शन में भाग लिया।

विरोध प्रदर्शन के मुख्य कारण थे:

कोलकाता में बलात्कार केस का त्वरित निर्णय
महिलाओं के लिए सुरक्षित पर्यावरण की मांग
- बलात्कारी को सजा
- दोषी को दंड
- महिलाओं के साथ दुर्व्यवहार करने वालों को कड़ी सजा
- बलात्कार के गुनहगारों को सख्त दंड

Dear friends, all of us are in deep pain for what has happened with our sister in medical college at Bengal.
We can also see the anguish and anger in different parts of country over the incident.
IIA UP Chapter feels that as an organisation of professionals we should not sit idle over this issue and join our society in condemning this heinous crime not only on that girl but on the society itself.
I would request all members to assemble at Gandhi Statue at Hazratganj Chauraha Lucknow on Sunday 25 th August at 6 pm to pay homage to our sister and to March peacefully to The Governor House and give our memorandum of demands of speedy and impartial justice and implement measures so that such incidents are not repeated.
I would request all members specially seniors and female members to come forward and take the lead.
Let’s show that we are ready to stand for the cause and associations are just not a social gathering platforms.
