Here we go, locked again and dying for a vacation. Truly spending all the time on Airbnb and making wishlists .

Here is a thought, do we really know what we see? What if this is not a reality, not a photograph. Here is some weekend experiment.

This image is a 3d render created with a CG program called Blender. Swipe left to know more.

It is made by using images (maps) of original terrain. These maps contain information of color and shape of the model. From these images materials are created using which these models are generated. And then just like regular photography, a camera is placed for generating the images. It's like photography but done virtually where you use almost all the same techniques used in regular photography.
