Yoga at 4600 feet in my Himalayas! Now at 7500 feet and climbing. Dark zone for the next two days!

Team RAH is on the move in my Himalayas! This year's trek has begun and we are at Kuflon @4600 feet. The Himalayas have always been my spiritual abode, reminding me that silence can be more powerful than noise, and that every meaningful summit demands patience, endurance, and respect. For me every trek here is more like a journey within.

Will be in dark zones mostly for the next four days, and will post whenever I can. Watch this space! :-)

At IIM Indore, we believe leadership is as much about building responsible ecosystems as it is about academic excellence. This renovated space, designed for the comfort and convenience of daily commuters, is a small yet meaningful step towards creating inclusive and better public infrastructure.
May this space serve as a daily reminder that when institutions grow with purpose, they also uplift the communities around them.

Character is revealed not when things are easy, but when decisions become difficult and consequences uncertain. That is where ethical leadership truly matters.

This is what I discussed as I conducted a session on Ethical Leadership during Module II of the Management Development Programme for Cholamandalam MS General Insurance at IIM Indore.

The discussion focused on the responsibility leaders carry in shaping organizational culture, building trust, and making decisions that balance performance with integrity. We reflected on how ethical leadership is not about occasional grand gestures, but about the small choices made consistently every day, especially when no one is watching.

What made the session particularly enriching was the openness, participation, and thoughtful perspectives shared by the cohort. Their willingness to question, reflect, and engage deeply with real-world dilemmas made the interaction truly meaningful.

In a rapidly evolving business environment, competence may build organizations, but it is character that sustains them.

“The future global hierarchy will not be determined merely by military strength or GDP. It will increasingly be determined by technological depth. India’s deep tech startup ecosystem is therefore not just an economic story. It is part of India’s civilizational resurgence.”
This is what I highlighted in my inaugural speech as the Chief Guest at AIM Sumvaad organised at Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology.

India’s scientific and technological journey must continue to be rooted in both competence and consciousness. Grateful for the insightful discussions and the warmth extended by the distinguished participants and organizers.

Power impresses but character endures.
The leaders who shape civilizations are not always the loudest people in the room. Often, they are the ones carrying discipline in silence, conviction without aggression, and vision without vanity.
India’s future will demand such leadership.
