Power Electronics Laboratory at Nagoya University had the distinct honor of hosting Prof. Manmath Kumar Badapanda, FNAE for a special lecture and exchange event with the members of our laboratory on June 24, 2026

Prof. Badapanda is the Head of the RF Power Supplies Section at the Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT) in India 🇮🇳, and a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering. With nearly 500 of his high-performance power supplies in 24/7 operation at Indian national facilities, it was an absolute privilege to learn from his expertise! He is also a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Power Electronics Society.

During the session, Prof. Badapanda shared his invaluable insights and deep expertise about a wide range of high power electronics technologies in India, sparking engaging discussions around the latest advancements and challenges in the field. We also had the opportunity to introduce our own research at NUPELab. The day continued with an in-depth lab tour, engaging technical discussions, and wrapped up with a wonderful dinner together with the lab members. 🍣

It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to broaden their perspectives, ask questions, and exchange ideas with a leading expert. Fostering these kinds of global academic connections is exactly what drives our research and innovation forward! 🔬💡

A huge thank you to Prof. Badapanda for taking the time to visit us and delivering such an inspiring presentation. We look forward to future collaborations and staying connected! 🤝
