I am deeply saddened by the sudden demise of Pu Paominlal Hangshing @ Rony yesterday. It was with a heavy heart that I attended his funeral service today and joined the bereaved family and loved ones in mourning this immense loss.

Pu Paominlal was a man of honour, dignity and integrity who always gave his utmost for those around him and for the welfare of the community at large. His kindness, sincerity and selfless spirit earned him the respect and affection of many whose lives he touched.

His untimely departure leaves behind a great void that will be deeply felt by family, friends and the entire community. In this painful moment, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray that the Almighty grants them strength and comfort.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

It was a privilege to attend the Career Guidance cm Felicitation Programme for the successful candidates of the HSLC and HSE Examination 2026, organised by the Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO), Saikul Block, on 13th May as the Chief Guest.

The programme was a meaningful initiative to encourage and inspire our young achievers while guiding them towards brighter academic and career opportunities ahead. Witnessing the dedication, hard work and achievements of our students fills me with immense pride and hope for the future of our community.

Heartfelt congratulations to all the successful candidates for their outstanding accomplishments. May you continue to strive with determination, pursue your dreams with confidence and become responsible leaders of tomorrow.

Today, I attended the burial ceremony of Rev. Dr. V Sitlhou, Rev. Kaigoulun and Pastor Paogoulen with an unimaginably heavy heart at Thadou Baptist Church, Motbung. As thousands gathered in tears and sorrow to bid farewell to these devoted servants of God, the pain and grief felt beyond words.

These pastors dedicated their lives to spreading faith, peace, compassion and hope among the people. To witness their lives end in such a tragic manner is deeply heartbreaking and a wound that our community will carry for a long time.

The sight of grieving families, mourners in tears and the final prayers offered beside their resting place was truly painful to endure. Yet even in death, their faith, sacrifice and service continue to inspire us all.

May the Almighty grant strength and comfort to the bereaved families and may the souls of the departed pastors rest in eternal peace.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the demise of Pu Mangboi Chongloi of Molkon Bazar, whom I had also visited in Guwahati during his treatment.

He was a man of honour and dignity who devoted his life in service to the community as a private teacher since 1994 until his last breath. His dedication towards educating and guiding the younger generation will always be remembered with respect and gratitude.

The ongoing turmoil in the region has greatly limited transportation and movement and in this difficult time, I remain humbled to have contributed my best in ensuring that his mortal remains could reach his hometown.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and loved ones. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

I strongly condemn the heinous and cowardly ambush carried out against the Church leaders of the Thadou Baptist Association (TBA) between Kotzim and Kotlen villages in Kangpokpi District. It is deeply shocking and heartbreaking that respected servants of God, returning from attending the United Baptist Convention (UBC) Conference became victims of such senseless violence.

Such inhuman acts against religious leaders and innocent civilians are utterly unacceptable and deserve the strongest condemnation. I urge the concerned authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice at the earliest.

At this difficult time, I extend my deepest condolences to the bereaved family members, the Thadou Baptist Association and all those affected by this tragedy. May peace, unity and humanity prevail over hatred and violence.

Mother’s Day holds a very special place in my heart. Today, I celebrate not only the strength, sacrifices and unconditional love of mothers everywhere, but also the beautiful journey of motherhood that shapes our lives with compassion, patience and hope.

To every mother who tirelessly cares for her children and family while carrying countless responsibilities with grace — today is for you. Your love is the foundation of our homes and the strength of our society.

Yesterday, we officially launched the Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM) for Lhungtin Block at the SDO Office, Lhungtin, in the presence of Pu Samuel Misao, SDO Lhungtin; Pu Hejang Misao, Director, InSIDE NorthEast; Pu Letgin Doungel, District Incharge; respected Village Chiefs and Church leaders including Pr. Kammang Hangshing of Lhungtin Christian Church and Pu Jamgin Khongsai, Head Deacon of Gampum Baptist Church.

This important initiative aims to organize poor households into Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and their federations, strengthen financial inclusion and promote sustainable livelihoods. It will also support infrastructure development, market linkages and provide skill development and entrepreneurship opportunities for rural youth.

A significant step forward in empowering our communities and building a stronger, self-reliant future.

An absolute honour to inaugurate L&S Compassionate HealthCare at Saikul today, the first private hospital in Saikul — in the gracious presence of Pr. Hegin Misao, who dedicated the establishment to the Almighty.

Heartfelt appreciation to Dr. John Lupheng for turning this noble vision into reality. This marks a historic milestone and a major step forward for our community, bringing top-level medical infrastructure and quality healthcare closer to our people.

Deeply saddened to learn of the sudden demise of Pu Paoneo Haokip. His passing is a great loss not only to his family and loved ones, but to the entire community.

Pu Paoneo Haokip was a visionary who made immense contributions to the growth and development of media in our society. Through his pioneering efforts in establishing local media TV channels, hosting impactful talk shows and promoting music videos, he created a platform that gave voice to our people, showcased our talents and strengthened our collective identity. His dedication, creativity and passion for community advancement will always be remembered.

He was more than a media personality—he was a trailblazer whose work inspired many and opened doors for future generations. His absence will be deeply felt, but the legacy he leaves behind will continue to shine brightly.
