"It is frequently remarked that the President of the United States holds an unprecedented level of authority within the framework of a democratic system. Executive Powers:
Art. II Section 1 of the U. S. Constitution stipulates: 'The executive powers shall be vested in a President of the United States of America." As executive head of the nation, it is the responsibility of the President to execute the laws passed by Congress. In the executive sphere, the President exercises three kinds of powers of tremendous significance.
First, there is the power of appointment and removal. The President has vast appointive powers. The President appoints members of the Cabinet, judges of the Supreme Court and other federal courts as vacancies arise, the ambassadors and consuls. Indeed all officials in the higher echelons of U. S. administration are appointed by the President. Up to 1880 i.e. up to the passing of the Pendleton Act, the entire executive government of the U. S. A. was President's spoil. With the establishment of the Public Service Commission, at present, middle and low-ranking public servants are appointed by the Public Service Commission. But all high officials of the U. S. Government are appointed by the President. The actual appointment procedure is that the President nominates, the Senate confirms or ratifies the nomination and the President appoints.

of John Donne's "The Sunne Rising" as a metaphysical poem
John Donne's "The Sun Rising" is often regarded as a metaphysical love poem because of its exploration of themes related to love and the nature of reality. The poem is written in the form of a dramatic monologue in which the speaker, presumably a male lover, addresses the sun, urging it to go away and leave him and his beloved alone.
The term metaphysical is applied to the sort of poetry that flourished in England in the first half of the 17th century under the leadership of John Donne. It is purely a native product and is born of a quite natural reaction from the style of the Elizabethans. The poets who followed Donne are Herbert, Crashaw, Vaughan, Cowley and Marvell.
One of the key features of metaphysical poetry is the use of unconventional imagery and metaphors to explore complex philosophical ideas. In "The Sun Rising," Donne employs a range of metaphors to express the speaker's feelings towards his lover and the world around him. For example, he compares his lover's eyes to the sun and her breath to the wind, using these natural phenomena to express the intensity of his love and the powerful effect it has on him

Tom Jones as a Realistic Novel
William Hazlitt did not exaggerate when he observed that Fielding’s novels throw more light on the eighteenth century society of England than the whole mass of statistical and historical documents. The observation is quite justified in view of the fact that Tom Jones presents a full and faithful picture of the countryside, the highways, and the urban society of London. In this respect, Tom Jones makes definite advance over the literary works of Fielding's predecessors whose portrayal of the social life of the country is sketchy and incomplete. Though Fielding does not elaborately dwell upon external aspects, he creates vivid impression of externalities of his age. The novel incorporates the various aspects of the eighteenth century life
