ALLIGATORS OF WAR
The war in ukraine rages on and is turning gruesome with each passing day, debris and dead bodies spread around the whole country. A sight that would send chills down the spine of even the most fearless men and women, countless russian as well as ukrainian brave hearts sacrificed at multiple flashpoints countless armoured vehicles and gunships lost but there is a predator in the battlefield called the alligator which still hunts its prey with the utmost efficiency, accuracy and striking fear in the hearts and minds of the adversary like never know before. The kamov ka 52 alligator is a russian attack helicopter that is out performing its NATO counterparts like the AH 64D Apache Longbow in its anti armour and close air support role. The ka 52 is said to have excellent mobility combined with heavy armour while still being armed to the teeth, some of the most feared weaponry it uses consists of unguided rockets and the proven vikhr- k series of anti tank laser guided missiles while also boasting of a 30mm auto cannon that can rip through any kind of armour. This piece of russian equipment has won them many engagements throughout the war. Even though it has various countermeasures still there have been a couple of incidents where the ka 52 has been hit on the tail with manpads and still kept flying thanks to its coaxial rotor design, this helicopter also boasts ejection seats which is a rare sight in any helicopters all thanks to the remarkable engineering. Hold on it has some drawbacks as well, u know what they say, nothing is perfect, the maching gun on the ka 52 is mounted horizontally to the right side under the right wing extending to the right side of the cockpit limiting the auto cannon traversal to straight and right ward. It also has a tandem cockpit design which makes it wide from the front and vulnerable to the AA guns during attack runs.
