The objectives of the University are as under:
v To prepare highly qualified teachers and leaders in the field of Physical Education and Sports.
v To serve as a center of excellence and innovation in Physical Education and Sports. v To provide professional and academic leadership to other institutions in the field of Physical Education. v To provide vocational guidance and placement services to the professionals in this field. v To promote mass-participation in Physical Education and Sports. v To develop and promote programmes of Physical Education and Sports in the country. v To encourage and produce scientific contemporary literature in the field of Physical Education and Sports. v To provide community services in the field of Physical Education and Sports
लक्ष्मीबाई राष्ट्रीय शारीरिक शिक्षा संस्थान (एलएनआईपीई) ग्वालियर में आज 77वें गणतंत्र दिवस के अवसर पर संस्थान की कुलपति प्रो. कल्पना शर्मा ने ध्वजारोहण कर राष्ट्रीय ध्वज को सलामी दी। इस अवसर पर संस्थान के समस्त संकाय सदस्य, अधिकारी, कर्मचारी तथा सभी छात्र-छात्राएँ बड़ी संख्या में उपस्थित रहे। कार्यक्रम के दौरान कुलपति महोदया ने उत्साहवर्धक उद्बोधन देते हुए छात्रों को देश के भविष्य का आधार बताते हुए कहा कि— “आप युवा ही राष्ट्र की शक्ति और भविष्य हैं। अनुशासन, परिश्रम और सकारात्मक सोच के साथ देशहित में कार्य करना ही सच्ची देशभक्ति है।”उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों से शैक्षणिक, खेल एवं अनुसंधान क्षेत्रों में उत्कृष्टता हासिल करने का संकल्प लेते हुए संस्थान का गौरव बढ़ाने का आह्वान किया।
