Hepaah feels like a circle of love finally closing — a song born in a time of fear and isolation, now stepping into the world when compassion is needed more than ever.
The journey of HepaahThe first spark of Hepaah came during Covid, when Devanga Da shared a simple but aching concern — the silent suffering of animals on our streets and the quiet courage of those who care for them without any spotlight.Since then, the song has lived through many ups and downs, carrying with it the hope that music can make people see, feel, and stand beside these voiceless lives and the selfless humans who protect them.
A full circle moment
Today’s release feels like a gentle homecoming — from an idea born in lockdown lanes with hungry, confused animals, to a song that now breathes in a country fiercely debating the place of street dogs in our shared spaces.
Recent Supreme Court directions on street dogs and feeding zones have reminded everyone how fragile their existence is, and how urgently we need kinder, scientifically sound solutions rooted in coexistence, not fear.
Love in difficult times
In a time when public safety, fear, and anger often speak louder than empathy, Hepaah chooses tenderness — for every street animal, and for every caretaker who continues their seva despite new restrictions and hostility.
This song is a small offering of joy, gratitude, and solidarity — a reminder that the way we treat the most vulnerable among us, human or animal, will always define who we are as a society.
