*GANDERBAL POLICE APPREHENDS DRUG PEDDLER; CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE RECOVERED.*

Continuing its sustained drive against drug menace under *NashaMuktJammuKashmir,* Ganderbal Police apprehended a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Post Nagbal.

A snap naka was established by Police Post Nagbal at Dignibal near the Old Water Supply Scheme, Bakura. During naka checking, one suspicious person attempted to flee after noticing the police party. Acting swiftly, the naka party apprehended him on the spot.

The accused has been identified as; *Abrar Ahmad Parray S/O Mohd Ismail Parray R/O Nagbal Ganderbal.* During his personal search, bhung patri powder (ganja-like substance) was recovered from his possession. Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Ganderbal and further investigation has been taken up.

Ganderbal Police remains committed towards eradicating the menace of drugs from society and seeks continued cooperation from the general public in this endeavour.

*GANDERBAL POLICE HOLDS COORDINATION MEETING WITH CAPF NODAL OFFICERS FOR SANJY-2026.*

In preparation for the forthcoming *Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY)–2026,* *Ganderbal Police* today held a comprehensive coordination meeting with the Nodal Officers of various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF’s) designated for *SANJY-2026.*

The meeting was chaired by *SSP Ganderbal Shri Sudhanshu Dhama-IPS* at DPO Ganderbal, with the primary objective of ensuring seamless coordination, effective security management, and smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage within the district. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding deployment plans, accommodation arrangements, logistics, communication mechanisms, and other operational aspects related to *SANJY-2026.* The Nodal Officers put forth various suggestions and recommendations aimed at enhancing coordination and facilitating better preparedness for the Yatra.

*SSP Ganderbal* gave a patient hearing to all the concerns and suggestions raised during the interaction and assured the officers that *Ganderbal Police* remains fully committed to extending all necessary support and facilities to the CAPF companies to be accommodated for SANJY-2026. He further emphasized the importance of close coordination, joint preparedness, and proactive planning among all security agencies to ensure a peaceful, safe, and hassle-free Yatra for the pilgrims.

The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of collective commitment by all participating agencies towards maintaining robust security arrangements and ensuring the successful conduct of *Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026.*
