“Forgotten Feast” at
After having participated in more than four dozen food festivals during my culinary journey, I was honoured with the opportunity to present Forgotten Feast at JW Marriott, Pune. One day, Mr. Rahul Gautam, the Hotel Manager, JW Marriott, called me and asked if I could curate a “Forgotten Foods of India” theme. Without hesitation, I answered, “Yes, sir — this subject is incredible!” मुझे यह करना है - रह गया था !!
Thank you, sir, for entrusting me with this opportunity — it has truly been one of the most memorable highlights of my culinary path. मेरे अनेकों फ़ूड फ़ेस्टिवल आपके नेतृत्व में सम्पन्न हुए हैं और विषय पर आपकी पकड़ और गहरी समझ वाक़ई कमाल की है!
I am deeply grateful to Chef Mahir , and his entire team for their unwavering support and for helping me obtain every resource I needed.
Mr. Amit Kumar,the General Manager’s praise for my menu and compliments on the food’s taste have boosted my confidence immensely — ये मेरे लिए बेहद मायने रखता है। Thank you, sir, for your kind and encouraging words.

“मुंशी नान”
Munshi Naan from Hyderabad is a renowned local delicacy, celebrated for its distinctive taste and texture. Unlike the typical naan, this variety is thicker and exceptionally soft, with its roots tracing back to munshi family . It’s a staple in Hyderabadi cuisine, often enjoyed with flavorful non-veg curries—like paya!
For vegetarians, some enjoy it with ripe banana, mostly at breakfast down the lanes around Charminar.
