Science Teacher, Delhi

Pooja ma'am have been teaching science for the last 5 years. Currently she is working with a low income private school in East Delhi.

Pooja ma'am aspires to change her classroom into a fun learning place where students learn by doing and are able to connect science with real life situations.

OSFF is supporting her in her path of transformation through Phase-2 Educator Capacity Building program which focuses on transforming science teachers into science facilitators and their classroom into an active learning space.

Science Teacher, Mumbai

Debjani ma'am is herself very passionate about science and have been teaching science for the last 7 years. Currently she is working with a private school in Mumbai.

She believes that science stimulates the brain of the child and aspire her classroom to be vibrant and jostling with activities.

Her main concern is that students feel that science is a
challenging subject, which is why very few students opt for a career in science.
She aspires her classroom to be a fun learning space where she acts as a facilitator.

Science Teacher, Mumbai

Agnes ma'am has been teaching science for the last 30 years and is currently working with a private school in Mumbai.

She aspires to transform her classroom a space where students co construct knowledge. She is passionate about learning herself and likes to learn new techniques of teaching.

In her journey of change, OSFF is supporting her through a 4 months program which focuses on transforming science teachers into science facilitators and their classroom into an active learning space.

Meet the change makers !

Indu Banuni
Science Teacher, Delhi

Indu ma'am has been teaching science for the last 10 years. She is currently working with a low income private school in East Delhi as is well aware of the realities of science education.

For her, an ideal classroom is where students are engaged and learn everything by research and experimentation.

To transform her teaching style and classroom, Indu ma'am has signed up for a 4 months long program with OSFF which focuses on transforming science teachers into science facilitators and their classroom into an active learning space.

Some of the complex issues in the field of science education include the availability of appropriate classroom resources and the preparation and training of science teachers (including both pre-service training and in-service professional development).

We at OSFF are attempting to fill in this gap through our Educator Capacity Development Program.

Just 24 per cent of Indian households have internet connections to access e-education according to a UNICEF report.
Special concern is for children from economically disadvantaged families who are struggling with access to remote learning.

We at OSFF are attempting numerous approach to reach out to these children and ensure that the learning doesn't stop.

One such great initiative is taken by our science coaches where they execute engaging science sessions over WhatsApp for students who have limited excess to internet.
