As an artist , I have received much from my art form and community. While it is easy to get lost in the creative pursuits of oneself , I decided to instate ‘World Dance Day’ award , as a moment to pause reflect and appreciate the contribution of individuals whose silent contribution to dance in allied scholarly ways has enriched the field immensely.

This year Natya Tarangini Hyderabad is honoured to confer the ‘World Dance Day Award 2026’ on Harikatha artist Shri M.V Simhachala Sastry.

I am very happy to share with you that Sanatan Sangeet Sanskriti , Delhi will be conferring me with the ‘ Sanatan Sangeet Award 2026 in the Category of Indian Classical Dance’ tonight. As a part of this I will be presenting a short performance at IIC Delhi , 4 pm. Since Holi is around the corner , I will be presenting a beautiful ‘Ashtapadi’. I wil be accompanied on music by the a set of talented musicians and Do join us if you are in town.

review of Kuchipudi ki Shaam Hindustani ke Naam is out. Link in bio. This is a production that comes straight from my heart. The idea came to me a couple of years back , but I allowed it grow until I had a clear picture of what I wanted it to be. It was unprecedented to present an entire evening of Kuchipudi to Hindustani music , but it felt right. The result was a seamless amalgamation of two art forms. I couldn’t think of any one but to go on this journey with. She is all heart and brought her talented self to our creative process which made it a success. There wasn’t moment where we felt like we presenting two separate art forms. Being brought up in Delhi gave me exposure to Hindustani music and gave me an insight to the art form, enabling me to choreograph these timeless pieces in Kuchipudi. But none of this would have been possible without my parents and who have most importantly taught me to keep an open mind and a large heart to accept all the beauty that come along my way. Music is the soul of dance and my wonderful orchestra brought the production to life tech lovely pics :

Presenting Unfolding Kuchipudi – a digital video series that delves into themes which unfold the dance form of Kuchipudi.

Introducing four next-generation artists — Vyshnavi Korlakonta .korlakunta , Kasi Aysola , Mahati Bhikshu — who will shine light on the beauty of Kuchipudi dance in their youthful and quirky way using digital media. And one by our very own Natya Tarangini, Hyderabad disciples.

Stay tuned as we celebrate World Dance Day 2025 with stories, rhythm, and movement that honour the timeless spirit of Kuchipudi.

I am happy to share that I will be performing in New Delhi on Thursday, April 18th, at the Garden Amphitheatre, Sundar Nursery, Nizamuddin, New Delhi, as part of a special evening curated by S**C MACAY and the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, celebrating World Heritage Day and the spirit of dance.

Honoured to be dancing alongside a stellar list of artists from across traditions. I will be presenting a Kuchipudi solo as part of this special evening.
