DataLeads
We are a digital media & information initiative working in the spectrum of data analysis, fact-checking initiatives, media research & training.
In a world where health information is everywhere and trust is harder to find than ever, the need for honest, evidence-based public dialogue has never been greater.
Misinformation spreads faster than facts. Complexity gets flattened into headlines. And the people who need reliable health guidance the most are often the furthest from those who have it.
First Check LIVE is our response to that.
A 12-part dialogue series uniting clinicians, researchers, public health experts, journalists, and citizens on a single platform. Structured across four learning tracks and featuring twelve expert-led conversations, the series will tackle the health questions that matter most with the rigour, transparency, and inclusivity they deserve.

It was a privilege to have Dr. Surabhi Pandey, Program Director at Indian Institute of Public Administration, as a panelist at the
As part of the session ๐๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ก๐ฒ๐๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐ผ๐บ: ๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ป๐ฎ๐น๐ถ๐๐บ ๐๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ป ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ผ๐บ ๐ข๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐๐๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ด๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐, she contributed to a wider conversation on how journalism can draw from cross-sector experiences spanning governance, banking, healthcare, and beyond.
She highlighted that while AI is rapidly being adopted across sectors, its real value lies in responsible and inclusive implementation. From addressing biases and hallucinations to ensuring ethical use, she emphasised the need to build systems that are transparent and accessible to all.
A key takeaway from her perspective was the importance of keeping humans in the loop across systems to ensure trust, accountability, and responsibility. She also underscored that meaningful progress depends on investing in people through continuous upskilling, enabling more effective and ethical use of AI.

This International Womenโs Day, Misthy Sablok, Programme Manager at DataLEADS, reflects on three essential pillars of womenโs empowerment: Rights, Access to Information, and Womenโs Agency.
โRights become meaningful when women have access to the right information. It gives them the power to question and the platforms to act and exercise their rights. At DataLEADS, womenโs empowerment takes place by imparting knowledge and skills that strengthen voices shaping a more equal and informed world.โ
