Sanvi at the Multispecies Hackathon, speaking about the role sensors play in protecting endangered ecosystems. Almost as many questions came back as we put forward. We take that as a very good sign.
She also laid out the hardware, software and data puzzles, giving participants a sense of the range of real gaps waiting to be hacked, and why nature problems, which are often a race against time, need creativity, context, and the ability for solutions to travel and adapt.
A shoutout to the Socratus Collective Wisdom Corporation crew for bringing this together in Bengaluru.
Vishpala asked. Benoy asked. Dakshayani asked.
At this point, we’re starting to feel like the whole community is checking up on you. We’ll make it official.

Now go block your calendar. You know you want to.
Oh and because apparently registering for all things T4GC should also be a little fun. Meet YuYu, our registration tool, built by our resident tinkerer, Abhi.
YuYu is open-source, made for event registrations and large gatherings and doesn’t believe in putting tiny little caps on how many people can show up. Soon, you’ll be able to self-host it too and find it on IdliStack.
We made it and we’re curious what you’ll make of it.
With love,
T4GC
Psst…we back 👀

The night before Insight Out Pune, the team was touring, poking around and prepping at Without’s hood. Muchos thanks for the space and the love. We be back in a jiffy with all the Outside Ins that surfaced on what we thought would be a day of workshop, but turned into so much more. The warmth, curiosity and sheer turnout in the room is still zinging the crew.

Featuring Ajith, Chandru and Praveen, three of our finest engineers on a field trip. For the last couple of years, they’ve been building everything from ERP systems to cloud hosting platforms.
This time, they got to leave their laptops behind and visit one of the places where some of that work is actually being used. In Arajiline, Varanasi, a group of women are running an agro-processing operation from procurement to sales.
The trio spent two days with them, seeing the Point of Sales(POS) system we’d built for them in action, heard what they had to say about the tech, and discovered all the invisible things that never quite make it into a requirements gathering document or a testing call.
Grateful to our partners at IMAGO for bringing us into your work.

Invasive species. Wildfires. A landscape on the edge. And you’re the one making the calls. Pyrocene is a game we’ve built to explore what it takes to restore ecosystems. Using satellite data, drones, ecological knowledge and a few unexpected twists, you’ll make decisions and live with the consequences.
At this year’s Climate Week India, come play and experiment. We will transport you to the wild and see yourself respond to our ecological challenges.
