Please watch the Jenu Kuruba tribe performing their tribal dance.

Very recently I have travelled in and around Karnataka lining the state of Kerala.
The Jenu Kuruba tribe is one of the primary indigenous communities living in the forested regions along the Karnataka and Kerala border, especially in and around Nagarhole National Park.
“Jenu” means honey in Kannada, and “Kuruba” refers to a tribal community, and so they are traditionally known as honey gatherers.

An auto driver from Karnataka turned his everyday ride into a charming mini library on wheels, delighting passengers with books, bookmarks, and even candies during their ride.
In a now-viral Instagram video shared by Varsha, the auto-rickshaw was seen transformed into a cosy, thoughtful space for readers. Instead of the usual bare interiors, the back of the driver’s seat featured a neatly arranged rack filled with books of different genres, ranging from light reads to more reflective titles, giving passengers something to flip through during their journey.
The setup looked even more endearing with the little details like colourful, handcrafted bookmarks hanging from clips, swaying gently as the auto moved. A small jar of candies sat within easy reach, inviting passengers to help themselves.
The video also showed a passenger browsing through the collection mid-ride, flipping pages and picking a bookmark, turning what would have been a routine commute into a quiet, almost personal reading moment.
The clip was captioned along the lines of how an ordinary auto ride turned into an unexpectedly wholesome “mini library” experience, something the creator clearly hadn’t anticipated but deeply appreciated.
The video received a whole lot of love online, with several users expressing admiration for the driver’s thoughtful initiative.
Several commenters described the idea as heartwarming and creative, pointing out how such small gestures could make everyday experiences more meaningful. Others said the auto seemed to run not on fuel, but on kindness and compassion, appreciating the effort to spread joy through books.

Portraying the Totos of Totopara ,a remote village located in the Alipurduar district of West Bengal, the Toto's being a lively yet deeply peaceful community. During my visit to Totopara last month, I had the opportunity to meet Karan Toto, a genuinely progressive minded young man whose heartfelt wish is to revive and preserve the rich Toto culture. Encounters like these leave behind not just memories, but a quiet hope for the future.
