Amidst all this noise, some folks back home are busy shouting that PM Modi is “weak” for not stopping Trump’s 50% tariffs. Weak? Really? On the contrary — India has shown it cannot be bullied. Our PM, backed by Jaishankar’s sharp tongue & mind along with Piyush Goyal’s steady hands, has refused to fling open our agriculture for American corporates and stood firm on our right to buy affordable Russian petroleum. That’s called strategy, not surrender.

Just look at the SCO summit photos — the respect Modi commands is evident. And then glance at Pakistan’s PM — poor fellow, looking like a sheep accidentally invited to a wolves’ convention.

India is no longer the polite guest at the global table — it’s the one setting the menu. But while the world is waking up to India’s power, it’s time Indians stopped being divided into Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, etc. One light, one nation.

The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai
A timeless icon that has stood as a beacon of luxury, resilience, and Indian heritage since 1903.

Commissioned by Jamsetji Tata, the founder of the Tata Group, the Taj was India’s first luxury hotel to have electricity, American fans, German elevators, and English butlers — well ahead of its time. It welcomed the world when India was still under British rule, symbolizing Indian pride and ambition.

Over the decades, it has hosted legends — from George Bernard Shaw and The Beatles to Barack Obama and Mahatma Gandhi. The dome of the Taj is as much a symbol of Mumbai as the Gateway of India that stands right beside it.

Despite facing the darkest hours during the 26/11 attacks in 2008, the hotel emerged stronger — not just rebuilt, but reborn — becoming a global symbol of courage and resilience.

More than just a hotel, the Taj is a story — of Mumbai, of India, and of every guest who walks through its gilded doors.

And so the travels begin again...the next few months will be a dance between new cities and familiar streets, between discovery and nostalgia.

I’m deeply shocked & saddened by the news of Shefali Jariwala’s passing at just 42. She first captivated us as the iconic "Kaanta Laga Girl” in 2002, her bold yet graceful presence making her an overnight sensation Born on December 15, 1982, she was studying engineering—and earned just ₹7,000 for that game-changing music video—before her life took a cinematic turn.

After Kaanta Laga, Shefali appeared in Bollywood with a cameo in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004). On television and digital platforms, she remained a beloved figure—competing in Boogie Woogie, Nach Baliye 5 & 7, entering Bigg Boss 13.

Beyond her achievements, she was admired for her openness—her struggle with epilepsy since age 15, and her journey toward being seizure-free, mental health advocacy, and empowerment became part of her legacy.

Meeting her in person, I found her to be warm, humble, and down-to-earth—welcoming selfies and conversation like an old friend. Her light spirit and radiant smile will be sorely missed.

May her family find strength in this sorrowful time, and may Shefali rest in eternal peace. Om Shanti. 🙏

But in Bharat?

We’re busy forming fan clubs:

"I'm Bengali first."
"Kannadiga till I die."
"Marathi manoos zindabad!"
And then there’s the North vs South debate – as if we’re two separate Netflix series.

As if caste and religion weren’t enough to give us splitting headaches, now we’re arguing over which script writes "Bharat" better?

Seriously, with so many home-grown divides, do we even need enemies like Pakistan? We've got some folks doing the job right here – traitors in Wi-Fi zones, dividing a 5,000-year-old civilization over fonts and food.

Let’s grow up, folks. Our ancestors didn’t fight for freedom so we could bicker over biryani vs dosa or chole bhature vs fish curry.

India is not a language. It’s an emotion. A shared dream. A billion hearts beating in rhythm – not in rivalry. ❤️🇮🇳
