Is your server-side tracking actually working?
Itโs not enough to set it up.
It has to be working correctly.
Hereโs a quick breakdown of what should be happening behind the scenes:
- A user makes a purchase
- The event ID and event name are generated on the client side
- The same event ID + name are sent to the server side
- Both client and server send data to all marketing platforms
- The marketing platforms match the event using ID + name to avoid duplication

If the client and server events donโt match, you risk:
- Double reporting
- Missed conversions
- Wasted ad spend
