Yesterday, 21st June, renowned Israeli artist and sculptor Yaacov Agam passed away at the age of 98. A pioneer of optical and kinetic art, Agam was best known in Israel for the Fire and Water Fountain in Tel Aviv’s Dizengoff Square. His works were exhibited and installed in cities around the world, reaching and captivating audiences of all ages. His creative legacy will continue to influence generations of artists and art lovers in Israel and beyond.
In his memory, I am sharing this blog post from May 2018 about my visit to the fascinating Yaacov Agam Museum of Art.

It was such a lovely surprise to discover that the engagement card I created for Emily and Sam was featured on this week's 'Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop'. I shared this card quite a while ago, and the happy couple have since married, so it was especially nice to see this project pulled from the archives and given a new moment in the spotlight.
Many thanks to Ducks 'n a Row for the feature!

For my readers in the UK: I wanted to make sure you know about the Nova Exhibition currently showing in London until 5th July. The exhibition is a powerful and deeply moving remembrance of the brutal massacre at the Nova Music Festival on 7th October 2023.
I believe it is important to visit in order to better understand what happened that day and the devastating events that followed. Although I live in Israel and experienced those days from close by, I was still profoundly moved when I visited the exhibition in Tel Aviv myself. It is an incredibly emotional and important experience.
I hope as many people as possible will take the opportunity to see it.
