Our God and The Most High God of our ancestors, on this Yom Kippur, we stand before You, not with full stomachs, but with full hearts.
We fast not to punish our bodies, but to nourish our spirit and afflict our souls. Holy fasting is liberating the soul from the tyranny of cravings and desires.
Today, we loosen the grip of earthly distractions and reach for the heavens. We confront our imperfections, not with despair, but with hope.
