In many countries, the title of "Guide" isn't protected by law.

But just because something isn't against the law, does it make it the right thing to do? Companies and individuals use synonyms and marketing speak to disguise the lack of professional qualifications. In our book, that's not being transparent.

You should know who is leading you, what their qualifications are and what their remit is.

Glossary:
Remit means the terrain they're qualified to operate in. Someone on a training pathway may work under the guidance of a higher award holder. Higher award holders are often able to access additional certified training "bolt ons".

We don’t leave the safety and enjoyment of our clients solely on their shoulders. Unless they are appropriately certified, a local guide doesn't form part of our guide:client ratio.

📍 The Safety Net: By having an International Mountain Leader on every trip we offer, we ensure international safety standards and protocols are met, every single time. It's the best of both worlds.

📍 Adventure, by its nature, is unpredictable. Our job is to be the constant. We’ve spent nearly three decades honing the skills required to manage the variables: the weather, the terrain, the group dynamics, so you can simply breathe and be.
