Introducing: iMoveTo 📢

🚶🏽‍♀️‍➡️Walk🧑🏽‍🦽‍➡️Roll🏃🏼‍♂️‍➡️Run

Active Disability Ireland and Athletics Ireland are thrilled to launch the pilot a new inclusive iMoveTo Programme.

Designed to support participation, enjoyment and personal progress, the programme offers two training programmes to encourage people of all abilities to engaged in exercise that feels comfortable and achievable.

The pilot phase will be rolled out to 20 participating day services. We look forward to collaborating with service users and staff to co-create a strong programme which will be available to our Active Healthy Me network in 2027.

The event gathered representatives and guests from some of the 592 disability day services across Ireland who are engaged with our Active Healthy Me programme.

New Resources for Active Healthy Me 💚

We’re excited to share we’ve developed new resources for participants of our Active Healthy Me programme, to make healthy lifestyles more accessible and further support people with disabilities to be active. The following resources are now available:

➡️ Take-Home Resources
A suite of resources providing accessible summaries of key information, practical tips and simple actions that participants can put into practice beyond the service and into the home, to healthier choices into daily life.

➡️ Recipe Cards
A series of easy-read cookery cards to support the preparation of healthy, nutritious meals independently.

➡️ Exercise Video Library
A new suite of accessible exercise videos, giving participants further support and guidance to upkeep physical activity in home settings.
