Time to name NPWS Staff of Killarney National Park heroes👩‍🚒🦸‍♀️

Minister for Nature, Heritage and Biodiversity, Christopher O'Sullivan TD paid a special visit to Killarney National Park Emergency Fire Crew, to witness at first hand the incredible work National Parks and Wildlife Service handled, while containing the Wildlife at the 5 Mile Bridge over 7 days.

👩‍🚒🦸‍♀️Staff worked around the clock to contain the fire.
With the Minister is Regional Manager NPWS, Mary Sheehan, Divisional Manager NPWS, Éamonn Meskell, Staff back row From left, Brendan O’Neill, Conor O’Donoghue, P.J. Murphy, Pat O’Sullivan, Mike O’Brien, Stephen Moore, David Fitzgerald, Conor Rowlands, Eamon Kennedy, Tim Brosnan, Paul Power, Sjoerd Van Wierst, Micheál Mac Suibhne,Sitting from left, Tricia Beecher, Jess Burkett, Brendan Lynch, Calum Sweeney, James Doherty.

🚒The Wildlife destroyed an area 17 hectares in size, including a mixture of dry heath, wet heath and blanket bog along with pockets of native old oak woodland.

A Big thank you again to Kerry County Council Emergency Crew, Irish Air Corps, An Garda Síochána Kerry Chris from Executive Helicopters in Galway, The business people and citizens of Killarney.ie Ladies View Killarney Moll's Gap, Kenmare Tourism and the Iveragh Peninsula for their unwavering support during this time.

NOTICE to householders that you can safely dispose of household hazardous waste for
FREE at the 5 Kerry County Council Civic Amenity Sites!

The Civic Amenity Sites are in the following locations: Kenmare, Di**le, Killarney, Milltown, and Caherciveen.

Please note the following before you dump:

● No commercial/farm waste
● Strictly limited to householders
● Only products in original containers with original labels will be accepted
● No fire extinguishers
● No gas cylinders
