The most seriously taken Stephen's Day game in the club's history 😂 Both keepers kept their sides in the game with chances going amiss in both halves. It was a mark of how determined each side was to win that almost every player kept their position for the duration of the game. At the full time whistle the game was stuck at 0-0 and we faced into the dreaded penalty shootout. It was the South (wearing green and white) who held their nerve and claimed the bragging rights for this year on a scoreline of 4-2 from the spot. Thanks to all who togged out and to the many supporters who came along to watch and donate and a special mention to Liam Ryan for the great photos. Fethard Rangers North Versus Fethard Rangers South at Ashgrove at 11.a.m. on St. Stephen's Day in aid of the mental health charity Epona Dawn.
Delighted to see such a large number of spectators brave the bracing breeze and the game was as per usual an epic battle which ended in a nil all draw. A special word of mention for the two goalies who put in a busy shift in both halves. And then had to pull off some fantastic saves in the penalty shoot out. Many thanks to all the players who gave up their morning for such a worthy cause.
