Photos from last night's Streets of Athboy 5km where we had many adult members running with several of them running PB times. Huge well done to everyone that ran last night.

Navan AC had a number of juveniles in action on the final weekend of Nationals🇮🇪 in Tullamore.

Saturday 11th July:
Lucia was in action in the U15 250mH finishing 9th overall, a mere 0.01 secs off making the final. Well done Lucia on a great first season in the event👏.

Sarah ran a strong heat in the U14 200m and was rewarded with a place in the final. A determined run from a difficult lane 1 saw her finish 8th overall. Well done Sarah on making your first National final💪.

🥉Bronze for Ishan🥉
Ishan had a busy day, competing in both the U18 shot and javelin. He finished just off the podium in 4th place in the shot, 20cm shy of bronze. It was a quick dash to the javelin runway where he claimed a brilliant bronze🥉🎉 with his 4th round throw of 46.49m . Huge congratulations Ishan on 2 super performances 👏👏.

Sunday 12th July:
It was the turn of our relay teams and National B competitors to take to the track on yet another sweltering day.

Relays:
Iarlaith, Odhran, Seán and Josh gave it everything in the U13 boys 4x100m finishing just outside the medals in a super 4th place. They can be proud of their performance against the best in the country💪.

Doireann, Sarah, Hayleigh and Lucia made the top 10 in the U15 girls 4x100m. It was a great result for a team that were running together for the first time👏.

B Championships:
Cormac and David were in sprint action in the U12 60m and U14 80m respectively. Cormac placed 5th in his heat, finishing 14th overall. David ran a pb in his heat to finish 15th overall. Well done guys👏.
Kevin(U12) and Iarlaith(U13) took on the 600m in the searing heat. Kevin ran a pb to finish 12th while Iarlaith stayed strong up the home straight to claim 8th place. Earlier in the day, Kevin finished 5th in what was his second ever high jump competition. Great effort boys💪.

Well done to all athletes and a big thank you to the parents and coaches who are constant sources of support.

Last Saturday, several of our adult members went on their annual hike. This time, it was trip to Sligo where they hiked up two trails and also ran in a local Parkrun while over there for a great day out.

Prior to adult training on Tuesday evening, the club presented Meath Civil Defence with a €1000 donation as a gesture of appreciation for everything they have done for the club over the years.

The National Relay Championships take place in Tullamore tomorrow alongside the National B Championships. In relay action will be our U13 Boys and U15 Girls. The very best of luck to Iarlaith, Odhran, Seán, Josh, Doireann, Sarah, Hayleigh and Lucia.💪
We have 4 juveniles competing in the National B Championships. In the U12 age group, Cormac will line up in the 60m with Kevin taking on the high jump and 600m. Iarlaith will toe the line in the U13 600m while David will be in action in the U14 80m.

Three of our athletes are in action this Saturday on Day 3 of the National Juvenile Championships in Tullamore. First on track will be Lucia making her Nationals debut in the U15 250m hurdles. It's a first Nationals for Sarah also who will be in the blocks just after midday in the U14 200m. Ishan will be the last into action in the U18 Javelin and Shot Put. He will be kept busy with both events overlapping.

We had 3 juveniles in action last weekend in Tullamore against the best juvenile athletes in the country.

Huge congratulations to Odhran🎉🎉 who once again made a National podium when claiming a super silver🥈 in the U13 Boy's High Jump. He dealt brilliantly with the windy conditions clearing 1.45m on his 2nd attempt to secure 2nd place. What a fantastic end to his jumping season!! Comhghairdeas Odhran👏👏!!

Josh was in action in the U13 Boy's 80m. He lined up in the second heat and was unfortunate to be DQ'd under the false start rule. Sport can be tough and we look forward seeing Josh bounce back from this little bump in the road💪.

In the U14 Girls 800m heats, 20 girls were vying for one of 8 spots in the final. Katie finished 4th in her heat to earn qualification. She put in a fine run in the final to finish in 6th place👏👏. Great work Katie!!

Well done again to Odhran, Josh and Katie. The club is incredibly proud of you all💜💚.
