The very best of luck to everyone doing the marathon this weekend. Remember, without the build up, crowds, medal, bobble hat and beer afterwards, you’re still running a marathon....Regardless of the circumstances, 26.2 miles never changes...So respect the distance......

Friday nights sleep is key

Don’t worry about carb loading...Your body can only store so much fuel regardless of how much you eat.

Drink 2 litres of water

Believe in yourself...no one else will

Believe in your plan...it was designed to make sure you suceeed

It’s only another long run

Make sure your recovery plan is set in stone....

A marathon is not a destination, it’s a stepping stone.

Enjoy your celebrations....but reward your body the right way....

You have hundreds of miles in your legs....use it to your advantage....

Plan your next goal....you haven’t peaked at a marathon....you’ve hit a new goal.

Enjoy it all.....2020 is as amazing as you want it to be.....Want it enough.....

Never allow your head to be dragged down by the fearful, the mediocre or the purposeless. Stand out and stand tall.

Along with some tough speed sessions, 4 club members went to Mondello Park and on a challenging course, brought home 4 impressive PB’s. Over the course of the weekend our groups were out in force drinking coffee, posing for photographs and running between 11 and 16 miles. Another solid week in the bag. Well done everyone!!!!!

We are back!!!!....While we’ve been training away on our speed sessions, this morning was our first long run as a group. A solid group led out at 7:30am for 13 miles. Great to see everyone enjoying the relaxed pace and chats so early on a Saturday morning.

Post-quiz chats withe the crew. Huge thanks again to Amo and Paul for another superb evening of entertainment.

Might be a little while before we can enjoy an organised running event. Last October we had 38 finishers in Dublin Marathon. We had first-timers, repeaters and plenty of PBs.

Our club members have also completed marathons in London, New York, Berlin, Edinburgh, Manchester, Stockholm, Derry, Marathon du Medoc, Howth, Athens, Nice, Madrid, Ballyhoura, Barcelona, Rome, Hamburg, Connemara, Portumna Forest, Franfurt, Marine Corps (Washington DC), Boston, Chicago and Two Oceans (Capetown)! Did I miss anyone's?
